Lovefest Queen's Coronation
Students PreK-4th are gearing up for this year’s performance at the 38th Annual Lovelady Lovefest Queen’s Coronation on Thursday, February 6 at 7 p.m. in the Lovelady High School Gym. For newcomers to Lovelady, the queen’s coronation is a community event that kicks off the Lovefest festivities. Every year the kids have so much fun putting on a show! Students will get in free if they are participating with their class. Admission for everyone else is Adults $4/Students $2 Age 4 & under are free. Students in each grade will be dressing up in a different way for their performance. All kids can wear jeans, leggings, comfy shoes, etc. with the addition of the following:
Pre-K –Wear any bright color t-shirt (we will make them bear ears, they will be gummy bears) Let their teacher know the color
K – I will have chef hats/aprons for them, they will need to bring a spatula or a wooden/plastic spoon or other kitchen utensil (they can bring it to school for practice)
1st – Dress in the 50s, poodle skirts, scarves, leather or blue jean jackets, jeans rolled up. Etc.
2nd – Dress western - Hats, boots etc.
3rd -Dress western - hats, boots etc.
4th - We are going to wear tie dye shirts, 4th graders can bring a white t-shirt to school ASAP, they will dye
The Lovefest will be on February 8 at the Lovelady Community Park with a parade, BBQ cook-off, food and craft booths, and live entertainment throughout the day plus all sorts of fun activities for the kids just to name a few.
